Scott J. Rowen, M.D.
Board Certifications: Diagnostic Radiology, Certificate of Added Qualification in Pediatric Radiology
Dr. Scott Rowen received his medical degree from the University of California at Irvine, where he completed his internship and Radiology residency. He went on to complete his fellowship training in Pediatric Imaging, including cardiovascular, CT and MRI, at Millers Children's Hospital/Memorial Medical Center of Long Beach, California. Dr. Rowen is certified by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiology, and received certification with Added Qualification in Pediatric Radiology. He is one of only a few practicing pediatric radiologists in Orange County. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the Society for Pediatric Radiology, the American College of Radiology, the Orange County Radiological Society, and the Radiological Society of North America.
Dr. Rowen joined Moran, Rowen and Dorsey, Inc. (MRD) in 1987 and has since received a teaching appointment as an Associate Clinical Professor at UCI Medical Center. He is the Medical Director and Chairman of Radiology at Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) in Orange, California. He also serves on the Medical Executive Committee at CHOC, and is on the Executive Council at CHOC's Cancer Institute. In 2005, Dr. Rowen was recognized as a "Physician of Excellence" by the Orange County Medical Association and Orange Coast Magazine. When he is not working, Dr. Rowen enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons. The Rowen family shares a love of sports, especially when the Rowen sons are participating!
