Hieu Truong, M.D.
Board Certification: Diagnostic Radiology
Dr. Hieu Truong joined Moran, Rowen & Dorsey, Inc. as a staff radiologist in 2005. He received his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. After graduation, he completed his Radiology residency at UCLA Medical Center, where he also served as Chief Resident and was awarded the Outstanding Graduating Resident Award. He went on to complete his fellowship training in Magnetic Resonance Imaging/Musculoskeletal Radiology at USC, as well as an additional fellowship in Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT at UCLA. Dr. Truong is certified by the American Board of Radiology.
Dr. Truong was recognized for his many achievements during his medical training. He received the "Introduction to Research" Award while serving as a radiology resident, the UCSF Dean's Summer Research Fellowship as a medical student, and numerous awards for college attendance, including the UC Regents Scholarship to UCLA and UCI, the Jane Unzelman Scholarship for academic excellence and service to the school and community.
Dr. Truong has contributed to various publications and medical presentations on topics in musculoskeletal radiology and magnetic resonance spectroscopy. He maintains professional affiliations with a number of radiological societies, including the American College of Radiology, the Los Angeles Radiological Society, and the Radiological Society of North America. When he's not working, Dr. Truong enjoys snowboarding and traveling.
