Richard Cho, M.D.

Board Certification: Diagnostic Radiology

Dr. Richard Cho joined MRD in 2008. He is a fellowship trained radiologist, board certified in Women's Imaging. Dr. Cho received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Yale University. After graduating from Yale, he went on to complete his medical degree at Saint Louis University School of Medicine, and concurrently enlisted in the United States Air Force.

Dr. Cho is considered to be the soldier of the group. After graduation from medical school, he served two tours of duty for the United States Air Force. In July of 1999 to May 2001, Dr. Cho served as a flight surgeon for the 99th Reconnaissance Squadron, where he assisted in air combat missions over Iraq and the Mediterranean. In May 2001 to July of 2002, he continued his trek as a flight surgeon, and was relocated to South Korea to join the 36th Fighter Squadron's Mass-Casualty Response Team.

After successfully fulfilling his tours of duty, Dr. Cho returned to the United States to commence his residency training. In 2007, Dr. Cho completed his residency training at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. From there, Dr. Cho was accepted into the Women's Imaging Fellowship Program at the University of California, San Francisco, where he received his board certification.

Dr. Cho has so many interests within and outside of medicine. He has a love for science and research, as he is the author of several published scientific articles. Dr. Cho is a sports enthusiast and athlete. Many people are unaware that Dr. Cho is a black belt and National Medalist. Whenever he can find the time, Dr. Cho enjoys sailing, and is a member of the Royal Yachting Association. Most importantly, Dr. Cho likes to devote all of his free time to his lovely wife and two children.
