Board Certifications: Medical Examiners, Diagnostic Radiology, Additional Qualification in Neuroradiology
Dr. David Karlin is a board certified neuroradiologist. He completed his undergraduate studies at Rutgers College in New Brunswick, NJ. Dr. Karlin received his medical degree from UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine. After medical school, he was accepted into the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program at Montefiore Medical Center affiliated with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Subsequent to completing his residency training, he was accepted into the Neuroradiology Fellowship Program at New York University Hospital.
Dr. Karlin is certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Radiology, and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification is Neuroradiology. During his medical training, he co-authored an article for the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology. As an active member of the Radiological Society of North America and the American Society of Head and Neck Radiology, Dr. Karlin stays abreast of the latest advances in the field of radiology.
Dr. Karlin joined MRD in 1999. Shortly after joining the group, his business acumen quickly became evident to his colleagues. Presently, Dr. Karlin serves as the Chairman of the Board and Chief Financial Officer for Moran, Rowen & Dorsey, Inc. His desire to serve the medical community goes beyond the confines of private practice. Dr. Karlin is also the Medical Director and Chairman for the Department of Radiology at St. Joseph's Hospital, and serves on the Hospital's Medical Executive Committee. As the Director of Neuroradiology at Children's Hospital of Orange County, Dr. Karlin shares his radiological expertise as he helps train the medical residents. Outside of medicine, Dr. Karlin enjoys an active life with his wife and two children.
